HONOR has expanded its smartphone lineup in the Middle East with the launch of the HONOR X9e S, a mid-range smartphone that places considerable emphasis on battery capacity and durability. The device features an 8,560mAh silicon-carbon-free? battery, an AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, Qualcomm's Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 processor and an 80W wired charging system.
The X9e S also brings a 50MP main camera, a 5MP wide-angle camera and a 16MP front camera. It runs MagicOS 10 based on Android 16 and is offered with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.
Rather than competing primarily on flagship-level camera hardware or processing power, HONOR has focused on combining a large battery with a relatively slim design and multiple durability certifications. The smartphone measures 7.76mm thick and weighs approximately 196 grams, making its battery capacity one of its most notable specifications.
HONOR X9e S Price and Availability
HONOR introduced the X9e S in the Middle East on October 30, 2026. The smartphone is listed with a starting price of SAR 1,499 for its 8GB RAM and 256GB storage configuration.
The device is available in three colour options: Dawn Orange, Midnight Black and Glacier White. Availability, pricing and promotional packages may vary between individual Middle Eastern markets and retailers.
The launch also gives the X9e S a regional identity within HONOR's smartphone lineup. Its hardware closely matches the HONOR Turbo, which was introduced earlier under a different product name. The X9e S therefore brings an existing hardware platform to HONOR's Middle Eastern X-series range.
8,560mAh Battery With 80W Wired Charging
The battery is the central feature of the HONOR X9e S. It has a typical capacity of 8,560mAh and a rated capacity of 8,100mAh, placing it above the capacity commonly found in conventional mid-range smartphones.
HONOR uses the large battery to target users who spend considerable time on their phones for communication, entertainment, browsing and other everyday activities. The additional capacity is intended to reduce the frequency of charging, particularly for people who regularly travel or spend long periods away from a power outlet.
According to HONOR's laboratory testing, the X9e S can provide more than three days of use under a specific simulated usage scenario. The company's test uses common activities such as video playback, messaging, reading and phone calls, with defined screen brightness and volume settings. Actual battery life will vary depending on network conditions, applications, screen brightness and individual usage habits.
The phone supports 80W HONOR SuperCharge wired charging. This gives users a faster charging option for replenishing the large battery, although the actual charging speed depends on the charger, cable, temperature and battery conditions.
The X9e S also supports reverse charging, allowing it to supply power to compatible devices. This adds another practical use for its relatively large battery when other accessories or smartphones need an emergency charge.
6.79-Inch AMOLED Display With a 120Hz Refresh Rate
The HONOR X9e S features a 6.79-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2640 × 1200 pixels. The screen supports a 120Hz refresh rate, providing smoother scrolling, animations and supported gaming experiences compared with conventional 60Hz displays.
The panel supports 1.07 billion colours and a 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut, specifications intended to provide a wide range of colours for compatible content.
HONOR lists typical brightness at 800 nits, with high-brightness mode reaching 1,800 nits. The company also advertises an APL brightness figure of up to 6,000 nits under specified conditions. These figures describe different measurement scenarios and should not be interpreted as sustained full-screen brightness.
For eye-comfort features, the display includes 3,840Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, dynamic dimming and a Circadian Night Display mode. These technologies are designed to provide additional screen adjustment options, particularly in lower-light environments.
The display is protected by aluminosilicate glass.
Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 Processor and MagicOS 10
HONOR equips the X9e S with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 mobile platform. The octa-core processor uses four Cortex-A720 performance cores and four Cortex-A520 efficiency cores.
Its CPU configuration consists of one Cortex-A720 core clocked at up to 2.3GHz, three additional Cortex-A720 cores at up to 2.2GHz and four Cortex-A520 cores at up to 1.8GHz. Graphics processing is handled by the Adreno A810 GPU.
The device comes with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage in the listed Middle Eastern configuration.
On the software side, the X9e S runs MagicOS 10 based on Android 16. This brings HONOR's software interface and its collection of system features to the device.
The Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 is positioned in the mid-range segment. It is intended to handle everyday applications, multitasking, streaming and casual gaming rather than compete with the processors found in flagship smartphones.
50MP Main Camera and 5MP Wide-Angle Lens
The rear camera system of the HONOR X9e S consists of a 50MP main camera with an f/1.8 aperture and a 5MP wide-angle camera with an f/2.2 aperture.
The main camera is intended for everyday photography, including portraits, landscapes and general scenes. The additional wide-angle camera provides a broader field of view for subjects and environments that are difficult to capture with the primary camera alone.
The phone also includes a 16MP front-facing camera with an f/2.45 aperture for selfies and video calls.
HONOR lists electronic image stabilisation (EIS) among its camera features. The main camera supports 4K video recording according to the official specifications, although available recording modes can vary depending on the shooting configuration.
The camera setup is relatively straightforward compared with more expensive smartphones. Its specifications suggest that HONOR has prioritised battery capacity, display technology and durability over a more extensive camera system.
Durability With IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K Ratings
Durability is another major part of the HONOR X9e S's design. The smartphone carries IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K ratings, covering different levels of protection against dust, water exposure and high-pressure water conditions.
HONOR also advertises drop resistance of up to 2.5 metres onto a smooth granite surface under its laboratory testing conditions. The device has received SGS Triple-resistant Premium Performance certification.
The company describes a multi-layer cushioning structure and reinforced display protection intended to help absorb impact during accidental drops.
Additional features include rain-resistant touch controls, glove-friendly touch support and a dust-and-water ejection function.
These certifications and laboratory tests do not mean the phone is indestructible or completely immune to liquid damage. Water and dust resistance can decrease over time through normal wear, and the protection depends on the conditions under which the device is used.
Design, Dimensions and Connectivity
Despite its large battery, the HONOR X9e S has a relatively slim body measuring 161.9 × 76.1 × 7.76mm. It weighs approximately 196 grams, including its built-in battery.
The smartphone is available in Dawn Orange, Midnight Black and Glacier White, although colour availability can differ by market.
Connectivity features include 5G support, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2 and NFC. The phone also includes a USB Type-C port using the USB 2.0 standard and an optical fingerprint sensor.
For audio, HONOR lists stereo speakers and HONOR Sound 7.3. The device also supports dual nano-SIM cards, subject to regional network configurations.

Where the HONOR X9e S Fits in the Smartphone Market
The HONOR X9e S is built around a relatively clear set of priorities. Its 8,560mAh battery is considerably larger than the batteries found in many conventional mid-range phones, while the 80W charging system provides a way to replenish that capacity.
Its 120Hz AMOLED display, Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 processor and 50MP main camera cover the core requirements of a modern mid-range smartphone. The additional durability ratings also give it a different emphasis from devices that focus more heavily on slimness or camera specifications.
There are trade-offs. The rear camera system is relatively basic, the processor is not a flagship chipset, and the listed regional configuration offers 256GB of storage. Buyers interested primarily in advanced photography or high-end gaming may find other devices better suited to those priorities.
However, for people who place greater importance on battery capacity, charging convenience and resistance to everyday environmental exposure, the X9e S presents a distinct combination of features.
With its Middle Eastern launch, HONOR is extending its battery-focused smartphone strategy to another regional market. The X9e S combines a large-capacity battery with a relatively slim chassis, a high-refresh-rate AMOLED screen and multiple durability certifications, making battery endurance its defining feature.
