Linux has so many distributions with many desktop environments, but these are 5 of the most distinct and popular desktop environments, each having a almost unique desktop environment layout.      1. KDE Plasma desktop The KDE Plasma desktop is the most feature-packed and Windows 8 and Windows 10-like desktop environment, with most Windows-like features, layout and apps, with the launcher at the place where we have Start on Windows on the left to launch applications quickly. You can bookmark applications and search for any document or folder. You have system settings, quick settings, and a system monitor to view running processes and more.  On the bottom right, you have the time and date, and next to the time and date, you have all the frequent settings like Wi-Fi, sound, brightness, Bluetooth, etc. It also comes with a dark mode and has many widgets that come along, and it comes with an Android application, KDE Connect, so your desktop environment can be connected to...

This is the desktop-like multi-tasking app for Android with this many apps and features.

On Android by Android 7 nougat, you can find the Android multi-tasking split window feature. From the feature, you can open two apps simultaneously using your phone’s screen in half.

But what about multi-tasking on an Android phone with apps open more than two, or three, or more?

This brings me to a solution, I found on the Android Play Store, an Android app named (floating apps).

Introduction:

The app (floating apps) comes with many features, it contains thirty-eight(38) in-app apps and games.

You can open as many as five apps shown in the picture.

(Six apps tested opened at the same time)

Some of the apps in the app are:

  • Browser
  • Text Editor
  • Audio Player
  • Video Player
  • Calculator

And you can create other apps from the widgets of your Android phone. And availability of widgets depends on your phone's Android version.

You can also use normal apps as windowed installed on your phone but this feature could be used after enabling developer mode turned on. No root is required. There are instructions in the app’s Float Normal Apps section.

Other features of the app are:

  • Floating icon

You can change the position and opacity of the floating icon.

  • Floating menu

You can enable floating menu, change the orientation, background color, text color and icon color.

  • Floating buddy

You can change the icon and have it's features to use.

  • Themes

You can change the color of floating windows.

Conclusion:

On the Play Store, you can see this is the only app with this many apps and features this can be called as a gimmick but it can also be used amusingly and enjoyably and in some cases in meaningful and helpful ways.
