Google’s Search Live Goes Global

Mumbai

Google has taken a big step in making search more interactive by expanding Search Live to over 200 countries and territories. The feature, first introduced in select regions, is now available globally in all languages supported by Google’s AI Mode.

What Search Live Does

Search Live lets users interact with Google in a more natural way. Instead of typing, you can ask questions out loud or point your phone’s camera at something you want to know more about. Powered by Gemini 3.1 Flash Live, the system is designed for real-time, multilingual conversations that feel more fluid than traditional search.

How You Can Use It

  • Open the Google app on Android or iOS.
  • Tap the Live icon under the search bar.
  • Speak your query or use the camera for visual context.
  • You can also access it through Google Lens by selecting the Live option.

Why It Matters

This rollout shows Google’s push to make search more intuitive and accessible. By combining voice, vision, and AI, Search Live aims to help in everyday scenarios—whether you’re troubleshooting a gadget, identifying a plant, or asking follow-up questions without retyping.

Related Updates

Alongside Search Live, Google is also expanding Live Translate in Google Translate to iOS and more countries. This feature supports real-time translations in over 70 languages, working with any headphones.

In short, Google is betting on a future where search feels less like typing into a box and more like having a conversation with a helpful assistant.
